Should you desire longevity then our pressure treated heavy duty vertical lap fence panels are an attractive option for you to consider using in your garden. These are also known as feather board or close board panels and are one of the UK's leading styles of boundary fencing. The timber used for the entire panel is pressure treated with Tanalith® E, this preservative provides an effective long term protection against rot, fungus, insect attack & generally woeful weather. Our fence panels are handmade in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester using timber from sustainable sources, they are ideal for all properties, from single houses right up to large housing estates.
Vertical Lap Fence Panel (Pressure Treated)
For quality purposes Cocklestorm manufactures its heavy duty pressure treated vertical lap panels from spruce rather than pine. In our experience spruce is straighter, over time less likely to warp & has a better strength to weight ratio than pine. Our heavy duty vertical lap panels are manufactured using vertically overlapped 125mm x 25mm 2ex (5 inch x 1 inch) boards, braced on the back with 2 - 4 horizontal rails (depending on the height) for extra strength. Our heavy duty vertical lap fence panels are manufactured as standard at 6ft (1828mm) wide and range in heights from 2-6ft* (610-1813mm). Should these stock sizes not fit your requirements, you can choose to have them specially adapted to your needs by Cocklestorm.
*Rounded up to the nearest foot.
Should you wish to have these panels coloured we are able to dip in our water based chestnut brown or golden brown preservatives. As a premium we also offer a Barrettine cellulose dip that’s very effective against fungi and decay & contains wax to aid water repellence. This prime finish penetrates the wood for even greater protection and also offers an attractive choice of colours from the available range.

Low level vertical lap fencing was the choice for this customer's fence replacement. The pressure treatment in the timber will provide a good barrier against the weather but additional treatment is still recommended.
These pressure treated vertical lap fence panels have been fitted to timber posts giving the look of a seemless run of fencing. The pressure treated fencing provides good protection against the weather but will still need to be treated in an oil based preservative.
