Suffolk storage sheds can be supplied in a range of sizes. The smallest shed measures 6ft x 4ft (1.8m x 1.2m front width x depth) and the largest 10ft x 8ft (3.0m x 2.4m). The height of the eaves at the lowest part of Suffolk is 1.8m, increasing in height to 1.98m at the highest point, with an external height ranging from 2.06m on the smallest shed to 2.11m.

The door of the 10ft x 6ft Suffolk Shed can be positioned on any of the four faces of the shed with a wide range of placement options (see door position image). Three strong tee hinges are used to hang the fully framed and braced door, a lock and key lock is also provided to keep the shed secure.

With the 10ft x 6ft Suffolk Shed you have a number of choices with window placement; 2 or 3 windows are possible depending on how the door is positioned however you could also choose to have your shed supplied with solid walls. Due to the extra size of the 10ft x 6ft shed you also have additional options for door placement, giving you more options than previously available on the smaller models.

Suffolk Sheds are supplied untreated; however at Cocklestorm we always suggest treating your shed with a preservative to protect it from the elements. There are 2 different treatments available at the ordering stage.

Firstly, the components of the shed can be dipped in a water-based preservative. The water-based treatment only partially soaks into the timber but still results in a good degree of protection.

The second option, is to have your shed treated in a premium, oil based preservative. This offers better protection as it soaks deeper into the timber and creates a seal against water penetration protecting it from damage. Using an oil based preservative gives you a choice of different colours for your shed so you can personalise it to better suit your garden.

When fitting sheds, Cocklestorm suggests creating a solid base using 4” x 2” pressure treated timber. Sitting the shed on this foundation raises it off the ground allowing airflow underneath, and keeps the shed from being sat directly on the ground so moisture will not be soaked directly into the floor of the shed which can cause massive damage to a shed.

When you place your order for your Suffolk shed please specify your desired door position.

Please note that if you require a Suffolk storage shed to be fitted by Cocklestorm, it may be subject to free site survey. If the shed is for supply only, it will be supplied with all the required fixings to erect the shed yourself, like felt, nails, screw pack, fascias etc.
