Pytchley 6x4ft Shed

Pytchley sheds are available is a range of sizes and different variations. The Pytchley ranges in size from 6ft x 4ft (1.8m x 1.2m front width x depth) up to 10ft x 8ft (3.0m x 2.4m). Heights are governed by the shed’s size, and range from 2.2m-2.4m.

As standard, the door on the 6ft x 4ft Pytchley shed is positioned to the left and the window to the right. This placement can also be reversed or the shed can be supplied windowless should you prefer. The door is fully framed, braced and hung from 3 strong black tee hinges, with a lock and key lock to keep valuables safe.

The windows on the Pytchley sheds are supplied with 3mm panes of glass, however for a small additional cost this glass can be replaced with Perspex or safety glass should you require.

As standard, Pytchley sheds are supplied untreated. However, Cocklestorm always recommends treating your shed, we offer 2 different options. Firstly, the shed components can be dipped in a red cedar coloured water-based treatment. As this is only a water-based treatment, it only partially soaks into the timber but still results in a good level of protection.

The second, and most common option, is to have your shed treated in an oil based preservative. This offers a more sufficient protection as it soaks deeper into the timber, not allowing for any water penetration. Using a premium oil based preservative also gives you a choice of colours, allowing your Pytchley shed to stand out in your garden.

When fitting a shed, Cocklestorm always use or recommend to use a 4” x 2” pressure treated timber base to sit the shed on top of. This is so that the shed itself sits on a solid, flat surface. Also, having the shed elevated means there is additional airflow underneath and keeps the shed from being sat directly on the ground, eliminating moisture from soaking directly into the shed.

Please note that if you require a Pytchley shed to be fitted by Cocklestorm, it may be subject to our free site survey. If ordered for supply only then it will be delivered with all the necessary fixings to erect the Pytchley shed yourself, e.g. felt, nails, screw pack, fascias etc.

Due to our extensive product range, calculating the delivery charge can be complicated. When your postcode has been entered, delivery is automatically calculated by the website and is clearly shown at the checkout. However on certain products, the delivery charged is a covering charge. Should you wish, you are able to contact our staff about this charge as you may be eligible for a lower delivery cost.

For all products that are stock items, deliveries are within 1-10 working days if you are located less than 10 road miles of M26 2UT. If you are over 10 road miles and the delivery is made by Cocklestorm and not our couriers, the delivery will be within 1-15 working days. (Working days being Monday to Friday)

Within a 50 mile radius, your order will more than likely be delivered by our own fleet of vehicles. Over a 50 mile radius, your order may be delivered by our vehicles but more likely via a courier service.

For all deliveries carried out by Cocklestorm's fleet of vehicles, customers will be contacted via E-Mail or phone the day before the delivery is due. This is to confirm the delivery date and a 1 hour time slot that the materials will be delivered. Should the designated delivery date not be suitable or you need to re-arrange, your delivery will fall back to the initial waiting period for deliveries.

Free Delivery: All van deliveries within 2 road miles of Cocklestorm Fencing Ltd (M26 2UT) qualify for free delivery. If your delivery address is over 2 miles and under 50 miles, free delivery options are available with a minimum spend, please see the model on our delivery information page.

Please Note: For bespoke items such as made to order products, out of stock products, cutting or Barrettine dipping service, please allow additional time for production / purchasing, in addition to delivery times. Bespoke products are NOT eligible for return if you, the customer, have provided the incorrect measurements / information or ordered by mistake.

Important Notice Regarding Courier/Pallet Deliveries: If you are not home & you have a safe place to leave your consignment, our carrier is automatically authorised to deliver your consignment without a signature, please note that this will not be possible on instances where the carrier must leave the consignment on a public walkway or on the road. Please be aware that if the carrier arranges a delivery day & you are not at home to take the delivery & there is no safe place to leave the consignment on your property you may incur a second delivery charge. Note: When ordering heavy products via a courier service, such as concrete or items longer than 2.4m, you may be required to help unload the wagon.

Delivery Issues: The Customer should check their order promptly and carefully upon arrival, and inform the delivery agent of any damages or shortages discovered at the time of delivery and record this on the delivery record (e.g. "packaging damaged"). If the Customer is unavailable to do this, they should check the order carefully within 48 hours of delivery. In all cases the Customer should notify the Company of any damage or shortfall within 48 hours of delivery.
